Mechanic #1: Resource Gathering and FabricationIn Subnautica, resources come in all shapes and sizes. Thanks again for coming to this guide for help, and stay tuned for more! It would be greatly appreciated if you left a like on this guide, so that more people can be helped by it! To view covered spoiler text, simply hover your mouse over the black boxes.įinally, if there's anything that you think should be in the guide that isn't, or if you simply have a question about the game that isn't in the guide itself, just add a comment or message me directly. Aside from in the aforementioned section, only larger story spoilers will be covered, and minor spoilers will remain uncovered. The only section that has absolutely zero instantly-viewable spoilers within is the "first steps" section.

Please be aware of spoilers! This guide goes through.literally the entire game. The Lost River was the only area that wasn't fairly open, and even that had openings big enough for a Cyclops to pass through fairly easily. As of now, the guide is finished!!! Enjoy!Ī guide of the same style as this for Subnautica: Below Zero can be found here: It is finished, but not as large as this guide - I have a more limited knowledge of Below Zero. but they just didn't seem too hard to maneuver. I suppose it could have just been a lot of practice, seeing as mine was my main base in every one of my playthroughs over more than a hundred hours of playing. I know a lot of people complained about how hard it was to drive, but I can't say as I ever really had a problem getting my Cyclops anywhere I wanted to go with it (Mushroom Caverns aside, the openings to that zone simply made it impossible).

To be honest the thing I most wanted from an expansion or sequel to Subnautica was more options for larger subs (as in, more than just one), more customization options for those subs, and perhaps a few more end game deep zones they could be taken.

Having a base you could take with you, and spend your travel time in, made a customized Cyclops one of the best parts of the game. You barely ever see it or spend time there. sure, but you spend almost every moment of your time playing AWAY from base. Not sure the game is going to be nearly as enjoyable without it.

To be honest, I'm really going to miss the Cyclops.
